As I don't have a dishwasher, I consider this a necessity to save water while I wash dishes. It flips up and down with the light touch of a finger, saving the mix of hot-cold water you established and releasing a only tiny stream of water when it is activated (needed to keep it blowing up or something like that). Flipping the switch up and down is an easy habit to develop in only a few days. And you will save a lot of water while you are doing things with the dishes like scrubbing or stacking that don't need water. When the old off-on faucet aerator I had disintegrated after 15 years (and it had considerably more drip, too), I found this one on Amazon and it works very well. Possibly a little too well, as the drip of water is so slight that you might not notice it is still activated when you are done with your dishwashing, and might forget to shut off at the faucet. So I had to develop a new habit to make sure the water was really shut off at the faucet and not just the aerator. Wasn't too hard to do. I really recommend this product, and I couldn't find it at Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Home Depot. It's worth the $10, really.
This is a handy little attachment. We had one that eventually wore out, and I couldn't find a replacement. When I found this one, it was an easy decision to buy it (I bought two). It makes it very easy to save water, and its a lot easier than continually turning the faucet on and off.
This terrific little item should be on EVERY kitchen faucet! Simple to install & very easy to get in the habit of using. Conserves water & saves money used to heat the hot water. Keeps a consistant water temperature & there's much less water slopped onto the back of sink from constant on/off at the faucet. I wish I had found this item years ago.
works great-except a dripping as can be expected with this type of valve. Also water temperature changes on opening valve if the H & C main valve are left open. Swivel function would have been excellent for this product.
I have one on every sink faucet. With an easy flip I can TEMPORARILY turn off the water while brushing my teeth, washing my face, whatever. I don't have to fumble around with the handles nor get them dirty with soapy etc.SAVES WATER.This is one of those things I'd be lost without. It's brilliant.
This is not a valve in the sense that it can fully shut off the supply of water, it is meant as a water saver that can quickly reduce the flow of water without disturbing the temperature setting of the faucet. It works well for me when washing the dishes, I get the water temperature right, rinse the pot, use the valve to shut the water off, soap and scrub the pot, turn the water back on, rinse, and then shut the water off to put the pot on the drying rack. It takes a bit of getting used to but including it in one's washing routine could help save a good deal of water.
I was looking at the cheaper one and glad i bought this name brand one. It working just as i had hoped. Thank you. It leaks just a little..and it reminds to shut off at the facet.
its a good idea...but it restricts the flow of water by about 25% to 30%. I liked it for saving water but after several weeks took it off the fasucet. may find a use for it somewhere else.
