   The selectable heat settings are NOT 400 watt and 800 Watt. Instead, they are 800watt and 1,200 watt. So if this product appeals to you (as it did to me) because of the lower 400 watt setting, then beware: it's not there. I returned this product to Amazon with a note about the error.    I purchased this item maybe two months ago. I never used it much until I went to bed. When I turned it on it would be on no longer than 10 to 15min. tops before I turned it off to go to bed. Last week I turned it on as usual and it made strange noises and the second level of heating did not come on. No matter how many times I tried to heat it, it would turn itself off. I wish I could get my money back even though I have 4 other dish heaters in my home that work well for the last several years. But this one from another company pooped out.    Extremely quiet and heats objects/people well by radiant heat. Used in a large, open great room where heating the room's air is impractical.
