Extremely pleased with this purchase. The light does all the things I wanted it to. And I really like the brushed nickel look.
I have three, soon to be four. They do exactly what they say it will do. Also, it will not drive your neighbors crazy as the light is better focused. A little pricy from this seller when you add shipping. Suggest you try Home Depot first.
I bought this light about a year ago and it no longer works. First it was the sensor, then one of the lights stopped working, a few weeks after that, the other light stopped working. Of course, this happens just after the warranty ends.
I bought this light a few months ago and just now got around to putting it up. I was not disappointed....it is very well made and looks great on the side of the house. All my outside light fixtures are brushed nickel so this matches them very well. So far the light work perfect and does not seem to react to wind and other annoying stuff that turns other security lights on. I would highly recommend this light as it is well made and very nice looking. It was also a breeze replacing my old quartz halogen light with this one.
I am returning the second one of these lights. this one quit detecting motion. (Now, keep in mind that I am not inept and can wire a light. I can also read and understand instructions. I have installed several motion sensing lights over the years.) The first light wouldn't even come on when the test feature was used. The second light worked for a while then simply quit. The reason I bought this light was because of the favorable reviews. This is why I am baffled by the performance of both of these lights. At any rate, I am returning this one and simply getting refunded. Then I'm going to Lowes. I would definately think twice before purchasing this light.
We've been looking for a motion sensor light for some time, but found nothing we thought would look good attached to our home. This light has style, has a nice finish, the bulbs are halogen (so smaller), and it lights up a secure path for coming and going. Yeah, we finally have a light!!!
This week I had the Heath Zenith security light installed by a licensed electrician. The light is located on the side of my house, overlooking the yard area that is used by my dog. I find the fixture to be appropriately sensitive to daylight and to motion. The second my dog or I step into the yard, the light goes on. It stays on for a few minutes, then turns itself off. The positions of the two lights on the fixture can be adjusted (in a limited fashion) to focus the light where it's needed. I haven't experienced any disappointment with the function or appearance of this fixture. I read the existing reviews on Amazon and have to disagree with the negative review re the fixture's color. It is indeed a brushed nickel finish. There is no brown tint. The color is on the darker side of nickel. Maybe a lighter brushed chrome effect was expected by that reviewer. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. All that remains to be seen is how long it works properly.
I ordered this light in the brushed nickel to coordinate with my other lighting and exterior hardware. It had all the elements that my husband wanted for a security light and I got the color I wanted-- or so I thought. As it turns out, the color of this item, although nice, is not brushed nickel. It doesn't have a silver colored tone to it at all. It's more faux bronze/copper. My husband already had it installed before I got a chance to look at it, so now I'm stuck with it. I hate that I paid more, just for this color, and did not get what I wanted. Otherwise, it's OK.
I bought this at Home Depot at a very good price. I installed it over the weekend. It was on all night, while I set it up to Auto 1 minute. I even set the sensitivity at low. I thought, might be the wind and leaves flying around but tonight there is no wind and I can't get this to turn off. Unfortunately, I don't have the receipt to return this junk.
