I used this valve in a full bathroom for my basement. Kohler has a ton of cheap to expensive trim finishes to match with this and it's very easy to install. I paired it with sharkbite valves to connect to CPVC - installation took less than 15 minutes.The screwdriver shutoff valves allows the water to be shutoff when the PBU (Pressure balancing unit) needs to be replaced when it eventually fails - which Kohler warranties. VERY useful to prevent days of leaky shower during repair and prevents the need to shut of the house water.
I bought this valve because I already installed one in a shower and am very happy with the temperature regulation without the expense of a thermostatically controlled valve. This new valve has the built in shutoffs, which will allow valve gut change out without shutting the house water supply off. Be aware that this valve has no flow regulation, basically full on only, similar to a hotel room shower.

This is a very good quality valve and works better than I expected. I consider it to be a high end valve at a reasonable price.
Purchased this to replace a two-handle valve. The single handle is more convenient. Installed by professional plumber who had no issues or questions. It is completely enclosed within the wall, so having the shut-off screws is a plus. Comes with a cover over the front that protects the handle stem while tile or other wall surface is being installed. The instructions allow the water temperature limit to be controlled by setting the stop to prevent the handle from turning too far (hot). This is a handy feature for the kids bathroom.Can't complain. It seems to be doing everything it is supposed to.
Bought this for a shower remodel and had my contractor install it. No problems so far.
The valve was missing all of the gaskets making the valve unusable in the condition I received it in. Had to contact Kohler to buy the gaskets as Amazon has a policy of not honering defects, or in this case, missing parts, 30 days after order. I purchased approximately 40 days before installing. Had I bought the item at Home Depot, there would have been no issue as Kohler provides a lifetime warranty with products HD sells. Kohler's policy is that if you purchase from an authorized dealer, which Amazon is not, there is no warranty. Had I known this, I would have purchased from Home Depot for the lifetime warranty. Generally, online purchasing from Amazon is great, but this did it for me.
I have one and I just bought another one. It fits most of the Kohler trim and is built well...not like lessor brands.
