    1. I don't like to pull out the gas chainsaw out for small jobs. I bought a 18v reciprocating saw and use these blades. They go through small trees with ease. I have used them on small trees with up to an 6 inch diameter. They rip right through them. No mess no fuss.

    2. I spent several hours one day cutting out overgrown branches from our Lilac bushes. Many were as big as 4-5 inches in diameter and 20 feet tall. I cleaned up row of them about 50 feet long using one blade; and it is still in good shape. I was using my Milwaukee cordless 18 volt reciprocating saw. I will use it again in the Fall to finish up this tedious mosquito infested project. I was glad the blade cut as fast as it did so I could avoid having too many of them fly up my nose.

    3. The Ugly gets the job done. It's not what you'd call a precision tool, but you can't beat it for its intended purpose. I needed to make long rip cuts on the end of a dozen peeler cores (round 6" wood posts) to square the last 12" of the posts in order to lag-bolt them to the joists of a deck. Making half-depth crosscuts on large round stock, and especially making long rip cuts on large round stock without having to set up a jig or use a chainsaw, were perfect applications for this blade. The Ugly blade ate through the wood quickly and in a controllable/steerable manner.Pruning: works great. If you put this blade in a cordless Sawzall you will cut much more wood per battery charge, compared to ordinary construction type recip saw blades. The deep gullets and fleam ground (2-way cut) teeth on The Ugly are why it works so well, just like an old fashioned bow saw. With the Ugly in my 18V DeWalt DW385 I can cut a lot of branches or do a lot of trailwork without the noise or weight of a chainsaw.

    4. It plainly says that this item is a five pack, I assume that means there are FIVE blades in the pack. When I got the package, there was only one blade in it. Wheres the rest of them?I was informed by the company that this product was mis-advertised. It ONLY comes one to a pack. But for my troubles, the company completed refunded my whole order and told me to keep the blades. This is what I call customer service! I will do more business with this company in the near future! Thanks,Eddie WildsmithWildsmith Construction Co., Inc.Brunswick, Ga.

    5. This multi pack from Amazon is the same price for (1) blade at my local chain store. These blades work great for everyday yard work.

    6. i've used these blades 4 cutting out both a pine tree stump & a cedar tree stump.they perform above & beyond / when used properly.

    7. I discovered these blades 4 years ago and immediately fell in love with them. These blades go above and beyond ALL other types of pruning blades I have used. Even when cutting tree roots in the dirt, they continue cutting long after other types of blades have become dull and unusable. I also have used the 12 inch version (Bosch brand, but identical design and reliability) of this blade. It works just as well for larger jobs.I have one warning though. When cutting larger branches or tree roots (4 or 6 inches in diameter), KEEP THE BLADE LUBRICATED with WD-40 or other lubricants. The job will go much easier and take much less effort.
