And at just 3.0 sones, the Aventine boasts quieter operation than traditional bathroom fans, so your at-home sanctuary will be a peaceful, restful retreat. Also, it includes a light fixture that gives off a soothing warm glow and has an integrated nightlight for convenience. The Aventine requires two 60-watt A-15 bulbs and one 7-watt nightlight bulb (bulbs not included).

Hunter 83003 Aventine Bathroom Fan with Light and Nightlight, Aged Bronze Reviews
This is a large unit. Make sure you measure before you buy. The upside is that it moves a lot of air and - for the volume of air moved - is relatively quiet. It is compatible with CFLs and has a nightlight feature. The quality is only average. After a year, I removed it for cleaning and found rust on some of the internal components. Nothing serious, but I doubt it will last 10 years. There's no gasket between the outer part of the fixture and the ceiling. If you have a moderate or heavily textured ceiling, light from the internal bulbs will shine through the gaps created by the texture - looks sloppy. To fix this, I fashioned a gasket from a piece of self-adhesive foam weather stripping and attached it to the inside of the fixture. This blocks the light perfectly, but this should have been included in the installation kit.
I have hunter ceiling fans in my house and I love them. But I am not happy with the design of this product. I cant unscrew the base after 2 years because the screw has rusted shut. Why would use rustable metal in a product designed for a humid bathroom?? Make no sense
I bought this item as it matched our other fixtures for a bathroom renovation project and it arrived well packaged and I was pleased with the relatively heavy construction of the external parts. Reading the installation instructions for installation into a ceiling without an existing fan look pretty straightforward. I have installed recessed lights before and this seemed to use a very similar extend-able rail system that allows the housing box to be anywhere in between trusses. After determining that the best placement to center it in the room would be all the way to one side of the truss, I cut the hole and dropped in the housing, attached the near side rails and extended the other rails to find that - surprise - they don't reach if your joists are on 24 inch centers! In addition one side has the rails over the exhaust duct, meaning if your trusses are 2"x4"s, the rail is too high. Now, all this could have been planned for if the instructions gave any clue, but having installed similar lighting fixtures in my ceiling I didn't anticipate this. It then required fabrication of additional support and installation to support it. A slight amount of thought in the design would have rendered it all unnecessary.
If you have a larger bathroom and like the Aged Bronze look this is a very good fan. There are not very many fans to choose from with this CFM rating (110) that are also decorative. It is fairly large and may not look proportioned in a smaller bathroom.
I really do like this bathroom fan/light. It's pretty quiet compared to our old fan. We installed it where the fan comes on when the light is on. This way with existing wiring, we can use the night light, which I felt was too bright for a night light with a 25w bulb, so we added a dimmer for that, which works great. It was easy to install by dropping it through the ceiling, through the attic. It has brackets that can be extended to a further board. If we used this in a downstairs bathroom, a larger hole would have to be cut and blocks of wood put in to mount to, then a re-patch job. Though this uses two 60 watt bulbs, don't expect a super bright room, because the tinted glass dome reduces some of the light. This was ok for us, because we have additional lights in the bathroom. We do not have it directly over our shower, but I can visually see the steam going towards the fan, where I didn't with our older fan. Looking at the light/ fan at first, you wonder how it would suck it up, but it does have power, yet a quiet whisper sound. Sometimes though, it's nice to have other noise in the bathroom when you do not want to 'hear' stuff. Guess a stereo could be added lol.
I have owned this for one year and I love everything about this fan/light. It is very quiet and looks great. I highly recommend it.
