No problems with installation but I do recommend not using there anchor screws. Save yourself some time and go to your local hardware store and buy the anchors that go through the walls and tightens up to the sheet rock as you are tighten it to the wall, this will prevent the future wall pull-out on a hard tugged.
I found this product very adequate and Amazon's transaction as good as can be expected (A+) "HOWEVER".I've been having problems with this bar staying on the wall base clip. It appears that there is a little flaw in the casting where the V-groove is not deep enough on one of the bases. I belive that I can grind it out with a dremel but wished to contact Moen for warrenty info 1st.Here's where the rub comes. I contacted Moen a couple months ago via Email with no response. We finally called them this week only to find out that Amazon.com is not an "authorized" dealer so there is no warrenty. I guess that I'm going to hope that that I can repair the base and not have to purchase another from an authorized dealer - so much for the savings!!
The price of this towel bar was good, but, the usefulness was lacking. It is designed to hold two towels, one behind the other, but, the two bars are so close together-in both height and depth that you can't put a towel on the rack if there is already one on the outer bar. A real inconvenience.
Easy to install, with a nice clean look. Spacing between rods is perfect for good, thick towels.
You can never have enough towel racks in your bathroom because everyone using the bathroom uses at least 1 towel and sometimes two. I got these as extra towel racks.I ordered this set because of the brand name, the price and because it matches what I have already. Good quality bathroom fixtures don't come cheap and I was happy to find this at a discount at Amazon.Installation was a cinch. I used the supplied screws and anchors and the instructions even serve as a template for spacing. I used a level to make sure the rack was on even, drilled 4 holes and installed the whole thing in about 10 mins. from start to finish.Other reviewers here have complained about the spacing and I measured them. There is exactly two inches of space between the two bars horizontally and that's plenty of drying space for me. I love them, they look great, gives me space for 2 extra towels, came with a discount and free shipping (because I ordered other stuff at the same time), just wonderful!
Good space saver. I wouldn't recommend for Big fluffy towels. I would recommend the MoEn Sage double towel bar for those. Easy to install but you must be sure to measure accurately. If you're off by a little you the towel bar base will be not be flush and it's pieces are not very forgiving as far as placement. Looks nice. sturdy design. instructions well stated. comes with an easy template to use, but since it is paper I believe i didnt' have it tight enough for full length.
The only way this double rack won't fall off the wall with heavy bath towels in a very short time is if it is mounted on studs or blocking. Don't rely on any anchors no matter how big. Really big molly bolts may work (2" spread if you drill the holes in the mounts.but I chose to block after moderate mollys pulled out leaving large holes in the sheetrock; cause of time and headache. Nice finish-cheap design
This product was as described and fits in my bathroom perfectly. It was also less expensive, for a quality item, than I was able to find in my area.
This a very nice looking item, which replaced 2 older towel bars in a bathroom remodel. shipping was quick, and the price was about half what I found for the same item at a local big-box store,.
I held off on writing a review on this for a while because it felt cheap when I mounted it. To my surprise it is holding up and works very well. It is very light weight and easy to install. It has turned out to be a real value.
