I bought two of these, and although I haven't used them a lot yet, I've used them enough to be quite impressed. They seem very sturdy, and their light is very even and bright. The best part is how cool they are! Unlike every other work light I own (halogen and tungsten), these don't add a lot of heat to the space being painted. What a welcome change! And they don't take a ton of space, like other fluorescent work lights I've seen. Really a brilliant design.
I've owned this light for about 5 years. There is no set up time when you go to use it, just pull it out of your truck, plug it in and go. There is a convenient carrying handle built in and an outlet to plug in an additional tool. One of the best features is that it sends light in all directions so there isn't that constant repositioning that there is with most work lights. The other thing that's really great is that it doesn't produce fire hazard heat so it's both safe and cooler to work around. I wouldn't say that it's indestructible, but I've been very satisfied with this light.
I already own a large Metal Halide Wobble Light and love it, so I purchased the smaller Wobble Light Jr. to complete my shop. Neither light is blinding, but yet very effective. Even though my shop is very well lit without the Wobble Lights, I use the wobble lights along with my regular lighting to bring my work area into a daylike brightness, and it is Wonderful working with such visibility! I like how they are made of durable plastic/resin...thus they can never rust...and they never will burn you when I happen to have brushed against them. They are expensive, but I feel well worth the money.
This is a great innovation. I was going to add some more lighting to my shop in areas where I don't work very often but ran across a review of this light in a wwing magazine. This gives me the light I need and also a light for a lot of other uses. Nice to have the plug in for a power tool also.
I have 6 of these and use them when im at Nascar races. If you go with the fluorescent ones then you can light up an entire area and not use much power. I can hook up all my Wobble Jrs and pull 15% power. I can hook up one ingle Halogen 500 watt light and it pulls almost 25%. A++++
My husband likes this light. It is VERY bright and is good for in the garage, evening parties, camping, etc. The reason for only 4 stars is that it would be nice if you could hang it.
I got the wobble light and immediately tried to set it up. The holes that the screws hold the lamp cover on with were drilled incorrectly. It appears someone tried to fix this problem using a utility knife and it didnt work. I had to re-drill the holes then buy and install different screws, I should not have to do this.The light is bright and lights a very large area. The switch is solid an I have switched it on and off a good few hundred times by now. The bulb has lasted for over two years and still appears very bright and throws off good light. The unit itself is tough and virtually impossible to knock over and when it is the light rights itself and keeps working.For all of it's good points, the light is let down badly by its construction. I am very disappointed in the condition the light arrived in and the time it took to set up. A little more care during construction would have made this light 5 out of 5.Sadly, I still can't I recommend this product after two years ownership.
