These are the best knee bads I've ever owned. I've purchsed much more expensive ones that don't even compare in terms of comfort, ease of use, and non-slipping/shifting. Too early to tell about durability but they seem to be well constructed. I'd definitely buy again!!
There comes a point in every do-it-yourselfer's life when the impatience of youth eventually wears off. Skinned knees embedded with grit and pebbles and work pants worn into shorts certainly help him come to this conclusion. The old hard-rubber knee pads were nearly as bad as no knee pads at all. So far, I've worn these pads on concrete garage floors, laying laminate flooring and roofing shingles. They are comfortable. They do not bind and pinch behind the knee like many other knee pads I've worn in the past. They are light and flexible considering the bulk. There are more expensive knee pads on the market made of Kevlar, the material used in bullet-proof vests, but unless you are afraid somebody is going to shoot you in the knee while you are changing the oil in your truck, they are not worth the extra cost.
Purchased for working while kneeling on tiled floors. Padding is thick but not bulky and outter material is tough. Being able to adjust the tightness around your leg is especially nice. Would recommend to anyone who has to spend a lot of time kneeling, and moving around to different areas.
I love the concept here (well contructed, tough but soft padding on the inside and outside, two adjustable belts), but these beasts are so large that you had better have large/wide legs and knees or be wearing these on the outside of insulated pants. I had to return them and will be looking for something similar but a bit smaller.
These are nice knee pads and are well-constructed; however, they were too large for my build and made my knees start to hurt after prolonged use. The strap edges also pushed into the back of knee and caused discomfort and became crunched up once I kneeled down. When standing up the top of the knee pad pushed into the front of my thigh causing some discomfort. They didn't work out for me.
I actually ended up returning these only because of the size. I had bought them to wear underneath jeans because I needed pads that weren't visible but they are so enormous that it would be impossible. They are, however, very thick and provide excellent support. So if you are using these on the outside of pants or with shorts, you wont be disappointed.
These do work well, comfortable, for kneeling on a floor with lots of tile chips (tile setter) They stay fairly well. You do have to pull them up every so often. Not as much as ones I have had in past. An issue is the upper strap will ride down in back of your knee and stay there cuts into that area or it comes undone. They are good I give these a B+
